2015

This is the year that Benny was first created! Not much has been archived of that year (as of my research right now!), but that is mainly because 1. I was terrible at archiving/uploading my art and 2. When I did archive the stuff, I forgot to date them and they all read as being uploaded in 2018, even if they were uploaded earlier!

Turn-Out

“Burgie’s a bad boy,” Benny declares, a statement too true to contest. Bennett, better known as Burgie, embodies every negative trait imaginable: he bullies his siblings mercilessly, stealing their belongings and inflicting physical harm. Benny, the youngest, bears the brunt of Burgie’s aggression, with Bennette living in constant fear of him. Nothing changes despite their mother, Marie, attempting to seek help for Burgie’s behavior. When Burgie and his unruly friends scheme to torment Benny and Bennette, the siblings escape out a window onto the roof, fearing the worst. Burgie’s friends ransack their room while he callously destroys a picture of Benny, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.

Bennette and Benny, breathless from their escape, seek refuge at Winnifred Foo and Joe’s house. Interrupting their dinner, the children explain their dire situation, detailing the terror inflicted upon them by their brother. Shocked by the revelation, Winnifred and Joe offer them sanctuary for the night, promising to address the matter with their mother the next day. Despite the children’s pleas to run away themselves, Winnifred insists on a temporary stay, providing them with makeshift sleeping arrangements and a respite from their harrowing ordeal.

Benny’s nightmare unfolds vividly as he and Bennette find themselves bound in a dark room, facing their menacing brother Burgie. Dressed in his leather biker attire, Burgie taunts them sadistically, tormenting Benny with kicks and causing Bennette to cry out in fear. Despite Bennette’s defiance, Burgie asserts his dominance, asserting his control over her while physically intimidating Benny. Paralyzed with fear, Benny is powerless against Burgie’s threats until a surreal moment of relief arrives when dark vines obscure his vision, momentarily halting the nightmare’s terror.

Winnifred consoles Benny as he sobs in her arms, haunted by his vivid nightmare. Bennette, equally distraught, joins them in their distress. After calming down, Benny admits to his terrifying dream involving their tormentor. Winnifred comforts them both and offers warm milk to soothe their nerves. She then reveals that she contacted their mother, who noticed Burgie’s unusual behavior and wants them to stay the night at Winnifred’s house for safety. Winnifred bids them goodnight with a heavy heart, leaving them a temporary refuge from their brother’s menacing presence.
